Natural rubber, in its milky sap, is tapped from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree. Most of the latex is either processed into sheets or solid crumb rubber. It can also be kept in its liquid form through use of chemicals to prevent the latex from coagulation. While being in solid form, rubber sheets or crumbs can be used in the manufacture of solid rubber based products such as tyres, liquid form, on the other hand, can be used in the making of products such as gloves and air balloons.

Latex is a thin stretchy material obtained by the process of recycling sap of rubber plants. It can also be made synthetically by polymerizing a monomer that has been emulsified with surfactants.There are two types of latex:
1) HA Latex - high ammonia latex concentrate
(industrial gloves, rubber threads).
2) LATZ Latex - low ammonia latex concentrate (foam mattresses, recycled leather, air balloons, shoe soles).
